National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT Delhi) was established in 2000 and became an independent centre in 2012. It has been an Autonomous Scientific Society. NIELIT Delhi Centre offers training programmes, long-term and short-term courses in the fields of Information Technology, Electronics, Multimedia, etc. The DOEACC Delhi Centre (NIELIT Delhi) is approved by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Also, NIELIT offers scholarships under the Protsahan Puraskar Scheme for SC, ST, differently-abled and female candidates. NIELIT is known to have 43 centres across India with the headquarters being in Delhi. NIELIT Delhi centre is known to have trained more than 20 K+ students in IELT field.
